The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched a certified online training program focused on forest monitoring and sustainable resource management.

The FAO is offering a virtual course titled "Institutionalization of forest data." The training is aimed at public officials, legal experts, environmental professionals, academic institutions, and private sector representatives interested in national forest monitoring systems. This opportunity is also available to residents of Bogotá looking to strengthen their environmental management capabilities.

The curriculum consists of three lessons, each lasting between 25 and 40 minutes, covering the fundamentals of forest monitoring, legal and institutional agreements, and international best practices. Participants who complete the course and pass the final exam with a minimum score of 75% will receive a digital certification from the FAO. Requirements include internet access and an updated browser, while the downloadable version is compatible only with Windows computers.
